Here’s everything you might want to know about burning, shipping, colours, quirks, and what to do if something goes a little sideways.

Shipping
We ship from Oslo and do our best to get your candles out the door within 2-4 working days. If you're ordering a larger quantity or something especially complex, it may take a little longer. We’ll always keep you in the loop.
Yes, we ship internationally. Glow knows no borders.
Once shipped, you’ll receive a tracking link so you can follow your candle’s journey to your doorstep.
Candle care
To get the most out of your candle:- Trim the wick to ~5mm before lighting.
- Let the wax melt all the way across before blowing it out (this helps avoid tunnelling).
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from drafts, pets, and curious little hands.
- If your candle is freestanding (no base), place it on a heatproof surface to protect your table or shelf.
And remember, some of our sculptural designs are more art object than everyday burner. If you’d rather admire than ignite, we get it.
Colour and variations
Every CHIMÄR candle is hand-poured, which means no two are exactly alike. Swirls, shifts, and small surprises in shape or colour? That’s all part of the charm.
If you have particular colour preferences, let us know when you order. We can’t guarantee an exact match, but we’ll do our best to pick a piece that suits your vibe.
Returns and refunds
We hope you love your candle. Each one is handmade with care in Oslo, which means no two are quite the same. That’s the magic.
But if something’s not right, let’s sort it out.
Change of heart?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, in its original condition, and safely packed. Just email us at [email protected] with your order number, and we’ll guide you through the steps.
Something arrived damaged?
Oh no! That’s not how it should be. If your candle didn’t make the journey in one piece, let us know within 5 days of receiving it. A quick photo or two helps us make it right—and prevent it from happening again.
A quick note on character
Because each candle is poured by hand, slight variations in colour, texture, or shape are part of their charm—not faults. We don’t offer refunds for natural variations or signs of loving craftsmanship.
Refunds
Once your return is approved and received, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. Timing depends on your bank, but we’ll get things moving within 3–5 working days.
